China has been a dominated player on the world stage when it comes to International trading. One of the oldest international fair the world has seen, established in 1957, it is co-hosted by the People’s Government of the Guangdong Province and Ministry of Commerce of PRC twice every year in spring and autumn in the mega business city of Guangzhou. Guangzhou old name was Canton, hence the name Canton Fair.
This event has the longest history, the largest scale in size, the largest buyer attendance compare to any other fair around the world and the largest and broadest distribution of buyers’ source country.
Up to the 126th session, the total export volume through this fair amount to USD 1.4126 trillion and total number of overseas buyers has reached 8.99 million. This shows the scale of this fair. The exhibition area in one session totals 1.185 million square meters.
Today on June 15, 2020, for the very first time in the history the Canton Fair goes online. It is also known as the “Smart Canton Fair” and “Green Canton Fair”. The whole world has been affected by the COVID-19 in 2020; however it is a huge achievement of the Chinese government to make this event a reality this year on the online platform

This year the Canton Fair 127th Smart session will be held from 15th – 24th June, unlike the previous sessions which had 3 individual phases.
It is powered by Advance Information Technologies, where you can meet the buyers online, check out the products in 3D, visit the stalls, see live feeds and talk directly with suppliers live and negotiate the best deals for yourself.
There is also a cross-border e-commerce zone to explore new possibilities for efficient international trade. The live stream from the exhibitions will run 24/7 which will help in face to face negotiation and mass marketing promotion to audiences.
